HGV Driver (Category C or C+E) – Plant & Powered Access 

Are you an experienced professional HGV Driver (Class 2 or Class 1) who takes pride in safe, reliable deliveries and great customer service? Are you looking for a role with a long-established hire company with training opportunities? If so, we’d love to hear from you. 

We have an exciting opportunity to join Mr Plant Hire as an HGV Driver, delivering and collecting plant machinery, powered access  equipment (MEWPS) and lifting equipment to customers across London and the surrounding areas

This is a varied, customer‑facing role where you’ll be trusted to represent our business and ensure equipment arrives safely, on time and ready for use. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Driving HGV vehicles across London and the South (deliveries and collections) 
  • Safely loading and unloading equipment, ensuring loads are secure and correctly distributed (strap/secure, load distribution). 
  • Delivering and collecting customer orders in a safe, timely and professional manner treating customer sites and property with care and respect 
  • Providing basic product familiarisation to customers where required 
  • Vehicle checks, walkarounds and compliance 
  • Using handheld devices to complete delivery paperwork and checks 

What we’re looking for 

  • At least 1 years’ experience as an HGV Driver 
  • Full UK driving licence with Category C or C+E entitlement (Class 2/Class 1) 
  • A valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card 
  • A calm, professional approach and strong customer service skills 
  • Ability to work independently and manage your day effectively 
  • Comfortable using handheld devices / basic computer systems 

Desirable (but not essential) 

  • Experience loading and unloading powered access or plant equipment 
  • IPAF load/unload experience 
  • IPAF 3a, 3b or 1b certification  Don’t have this yet? We’ll provide the training.
