Mezzino Limited are a fast growing student accommodation provider. Due to expansion, we now require a dynamic & confident Purchase Ledger Assistant to work a hybrid role from our Head Office at Hexgreave Hall in Farnsfield (NG22).

The Purchase Ledger Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance function. This role involves processing invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the wider finance team in maintaining accurate accounts payable records.

Main responsibilities:

  • Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner to Sage 50.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor company accounts.
  • Manage your own sites aged creditor reports and regularly review and take action.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Handle queries from suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding financial transactions.
  • Raise your own payment runs at mid month and month end.
  • Work with Site Managers to confirm receipt of goods / Maintain a live PO system.
  • Manage and maintain your own set of UK sites – whilst helping other team members when required.
  • Support the wider finance team with accounts payable.
  • Support audits by providing necessary financial data and documentation.
  • Assist with financial forecasting.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing activities where required.
  • Process payments via bank transfer (if required).
  • Input Equals/Petty Cash entries into sage (If required).
  • Carry out general administrative duties within the finance department.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required to support the finance team and business operations.
