Painter and Decorator

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland. This contract role is essential for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal across our portfolio of properties. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that all work meets our quality standards and client expectations.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday on a fixed term contract until 24/10/2026 (this may be extended for a further 12 months subject to requirements)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes and cracks.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Select and mix colours to achieve the desired finish.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in painting and decorating are preferred.
