Description

Summary:

As a Housekeeper at Mezzino Limited, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and staff. You will ensure that the student accommodation is kept in pristine condition, supporting the business’s high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks both internally and externally including communal areas i.e kitchens, lounges, bathrooms, hallways and floors.
  • Cleaning of toilets to include floors, walls, WC pans, urinals, sinks, hand basins and fittings
  • Ensure all rooms are cleaned to a high standard between resident check-ins and check-outs.
  • Restock supplies such as toilet rolls soap, towels as necessary in communal toilets
  • Report maintenance issues, damage, or any concerns to the Facilities Manager in a timely manner.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to in cleaning practices.
  • Assist with deep cleaning and special cleaning tasks as needed (e.g., post-incident cleaning or seasonal cleans).
  • Emptying of waste bins.
  • Work alongside other team members to ensure seamless operation and resident satisfaction.
  • Securing the windows & doors in all unoccupied flats
  • Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning materials and equipment, and report stock levels to the Accommodation Manager.
  • Ensure cleaning store remains locked at all times when not occupied
  • To operate various cleaning equipment/machinery in accordance to the training provided.
  • To undertake inspections throughout the year of all apartments and bedrooms and do re-inspections if necessary.
  • Provide support for resident move-ins and move-outs, ensuring rooms are clean and presentable.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Accommodation Manager.

This post is a fixed term contract covering Maternity leave until the end of 2026.
