The core functions of this role are:
• Quality Control & Assurance – inspection, checking & testing products, maintaining controlled documents, developing and maintaining quality and production procedures to ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
• Technical support – troubleshooting, providing technical support to the production & procurement departments, evaluating manufacturing processes and assisting with improving manufacturing efficiency.
• Non-Conformance Management – investigating root cause and managing preventive actions for non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing effective preventive measures and process changes.
• Continuous Improvement – developing continuous improvement objectives based on LEAN philosophy to increase efficiency and improve processes, ensuring ongoing development and implementation of effective systems including critical control points, risk management and quality control programmes within the production process.
• Health and Safety – ensure safe work and environmental practices are followed at all times.
• Networking and Communication – Building exceptional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Other General Responsibilities – understanding and upholding company standards and accreditations, and improving business systems and processes.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience for this role:
• Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment or relatable position
• Knowledge of ERP systems and/or master data creation
• Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment required
• Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma and TOC in the manufacturing / engineering environment
• Relevant qualification in engineering is required
• At least three years experience in engineering, preferably in the Medical or Manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication to build strong working relationships
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative and manage your own time
• Quick learner and always willing to teach others
This is a full time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours to a maximum of 42 hours per week. Normal working hours will be 8 hours per day to be completed between 6am through to 6pm Monday to Friday. Competitive hourly rate on offer between $32 -$38 an hour.
