Description

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team in Stockton-on-Tees. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional support to our staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for problem-solving, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our IT services.

Outline of Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions using the helpdesk system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
  • Educate staff on best practices for IT usage and security protocols.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology (desirable not essential) , Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, MS SQL, MS Dynamics, Microsoft Operating systems & server structures including Active Directory, Intune.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT Security infrastructure and implementation.
  • Networking experience – IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WIFI, cabling & infrastructure.
  • Project management experience
  • Proven experience in an IT support role or similar position.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk software and remote support tools.
  • Ability to apply new technologies for use within the company.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Supporting the attainment of company targets.
  • Works on own initiative in a pro active way.
