Kitchen Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team in the hospitality and catering industry. This part-time, permanent role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our Kosher kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and cleanliness standards are upheld. The Kitchen Assistant will play a vital role in supporting chefs and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits as required.
• Support chefs in cooking and plating dishes during service times.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene and Kosher regulations at all times.
• Helping with stock rotation and replenishing supplies.
• Provide excellent, friendly and patient customer service.
• Keeping kitchen and service areas clean and tidy at all times

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of food hygiene is preferred.
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Knowledge of Kosher food preparation preferable.
