Description

Key Outputs and Accountabilities

  • To process and record all incoming invoices from suppliers and vendors, verifying the accuracy of these invoices and ensuring they receive the necessary approvals.
  • To raise purchase orders in a timely and organised manner, ensuring that all invoices are attached to a purchase order.
  • To prepare and schedule payment runs to suppliers, operating within payment terms.
  • To reconcile delivery notes and supplier statements.
  • To set up new suppliers and maintain communication with existing suppliers to address any discrepancies in invoices, resolve payment issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • To maintain the purchase ledger through accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation are filed appropriately for auditing purposes.
  • To process and reimburse employee expenses in line with the company’s expenses policy.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of using Sage Intacct.
  • Experience of working within an SME environment.
  • A personable, ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Recent all-round experience in a busy finance function, being flexible and reliable in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding and experience of financial procedures.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • An aptitude for IT with a comprehensive knowledge of software packages.
  • Self-discipline.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Has a valid UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • An interest in performing arts/volunteering.
