The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Solutions Manager to join our
team. A successful candidate will focus on project-based development work, managing and mentoring our more junior Salesforce talent into fully-fledged project resource, as well
as owning, improving and spearheading both internal team processes and processes involving the wider change team and/or business. Additionally, you will be a business-facing contact point, able to
deal with senior stakeholders, capture requirements directly and carry them through the entire development lifecycle. All of this, in an effort to support our growing Salesforce environment. This role
requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, leadership and mentoring experience, and a passion for delivering scalable, high-quality solutions as we expand our presence on the
platform.
Key
Responsibilities:
The role will include, but is not limited to:
·Line management, mentoring and development of junior to intermediate Salesforce administrator’s. Key goals will be developing their technical skills so they
become capable project resource, improving their efficiency on BAU, and building their non-technical skills to be enable them to manage a wide variety of stakeholders and scenarios.
·Declarative Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): complex flows, lightning pages (including dynamic layouts), custom fields and objects, page layouts, record
types, apps, actions, custom settings and metadata, dashboards and reports.
·Developing programmatic configuration skillset to enable you to eventually carry out programmatic Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Apex classes and triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce pages, API integrations, custom metadata types, asynchronous
processing, platform events, and deployment via SFDX and version control. While this ability isn’t a prerequisite for entering the role, being a leader and example within the team on developing this
skillset is an absolute must.
·Own and manage your own deployments across our environments, using Gearset, and ensuring successful implementation of projects.
·Lead the integration of Salesforce with third-party tools, companies and other internal systems.
·Lead data migrations and ensure data quality and accuracy during implementations.
·Create, implement and improve processes, and mentor others while they do the same. This will be across a mix of internal team processes, processes that involve the wider change-team and processes that involve our wider business colleagues.
·Be a technical escalation point for the team and a process escalation point for stakeholders on BAU.
·Be an expert across the scoping and development lifecycle with the ability to take instruction from senior stakeholders, scope their business requirements, design the solution and execute the
implementation of it. While most work will be scoped by business analysts, you will be a unique asset in your ability to, from time to time, solve a business problem end-to-end. You will take part in solution design and review across the team.
·On a semi-regular basis, visit and collaborate with other teams and offices to build relationships between the development team and our users. As part of these visits, carry out targeted intervention pieces to alleviate system pain points and improve both the system and the user
experience.
·Be a leader for major incidents, taking ownership of triage, coordination, and resolution. Act as the central point of communication during high-impact outages or system disruptions,
ensuring timely updates to stakeholders, driving root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures to minimise recurrence and improve platform stability.
·Carry out proactive and reactive interventions for system issues or emerging trends identified through user queries, analysing patterns in support tickets and user behaviour to diagnose underlying problems. Design and implement scalable fixes, optimise existing processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance system performance, usability, and overall user
experience.
Desirable Experience
& Qualifications:
· Additional Trailhead Certifications.
· Any experience of the managed package, Litify, would be hugely beneficial.
· Experience of project management tools, e.g. Confluence, Jira.
· Experience with the Titan (particularly Titan Web and Titan Sign) application.
Skills:
·Knowledge of Salesforce’s automation capabilities, best practices, and order of operations. In
particular, the knowledge and experience to decide what the most appropriate automation solution is in a given scenario.
·Comfortable working with custom objects and functionality and managed packages and not just standard Salesforce functionality.
·Ability to understand and improve existing Salesforce processes with a proven ability to implement declarative changes such as validation rules, picklists, lookup fields, master-detail
relationships, and formula fields.
·Experience with the Lightning App Builder including dynamic page layouts and conditional visibility.
·Experience carrying out metadata deployments and an understanding of the impact and risks of such changes.
·Experience carrying out data loads with hierarchical data sets.
·Comfortable managing project-work mostly independently but also collaborating and
seeking assistance from other members of the team.
·Line management experience, able to mentor and develop junior to intermediate Salesforce professionals.
·ITSM experience including incident management.
·Experience scoping and requirements gathering with senior stakeholders.
·Trailhead Certifications, particularly Salesforce Administrator.
