Summary:

The Restaurant Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional food quality, hospitality, and guest experience. This role involves supervising staff, managing budgets, and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Supervise and motivate staff to provide excellent service and maintain high levels of productivity, quality, and consistency
  • Ensure all guests are welcomed warmly and their needs are attended to promptly and efficiently
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of all food and beverages served
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to guest complaints and resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase overall restaurant sales, profitability, and market share
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager in creating and implementing marketing activities
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in developing operational plans and goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or other relevant field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the restaurant industry
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage and motivate teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant restaurant management software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience
