We’re looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Quarry Operative at Moons Hill Quarry, Stoke St Michael near Radstock. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in the quarrying industry, working alongside experienced colleagues who will provide full training and support as you develop your skills.

About the role

As a Quarry Operative, you’ll support the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the quarry, carrying out a variety of practical tasks across the site. You’ll assist with production activities, operate mobile plant and equipment once trained and authorised, carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance, and help maintain high standards of housekeeping. Working closely with the Quarry Manager, Supervisor and wider site team, you’ll contribute to the smooth running of daily operations, report any defects or safety concerns, and ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards. Full training and ongoing development will be provided, giving you the opportunity to build your skills and progress within the business.

 

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated individual with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in the quarrying industry. You’ll enjoy practical, hands-on work, be committed to working safely, and be keen to learn and develop your skills. A full UK driving licence is essential, while previous experience operating mobile plant is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
