Description

Summary:

The Bulldozer Operator plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects by executing essential groundworks that prepare and shape the site for construction activities. This position demands a strong focus on safe plant operation, meticulous attention to detail, and effective coordination with site teams to ensure progress and support overall project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe and effective operation of bulldozers to carry out earthmoving, grading and site preparation activities.
  • Conduct daily pre-start inspections and routine checks, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and operational teams to ensure works are delivered in line with the construction programme.
  • Follow all site-specific method statements, risk assessments and traffic management plans.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of plant and working areas, ensuring equipment is kept in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Support wider site operations where required to assist with project delivery.
  • Be aware of all Company Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies, procedures and management systems and ensure their application as they relate to areas of responsibility.
  • Attend training and development activities in person or via eLearning as required.
  • Undertake any such duties as may reasonably be ascribed to the role from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CPCS hologram) card for relevant plant category.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proven experience operating bulldozers (Dozers) within a civil engineering environment.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites throughout Scotland.
