Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Perth, Scotland. This permanent, full-time role is essential for supporting our construction projects by assisting in cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of our organisation in the building and construction industry.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Support the quantity surveying team in managing project costs and financial reporting.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and gather data for cost analysis.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of project expenditures and variations.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers as required.

Qualifications:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.
