About Ignite AI Partners

Ignite AI Partners is a rapidly growing AI consultancy firm that helps retailers unlock the full potential of artificial intelligence. Our team delivers expert consultancy, seamless implementation, and ongoing support, ensuring our clients are equipped to succeed in an AI-driven world.

As a small, dynamic company, we value innovation, collaboration, and a hands-on approach to solving complex challenges. Our growth model is relationship-led: we win, grow and retain clients through strategic account management, executive partnerships, thought leadership and the consistent delivery of outcomes that matter.

Role and Purpose

This role exists to help Ignite grow. Not through traditional marketing, but by enabling the people who create commercial success every day.

As a relationship-led consultancy, Ignite grows by building trusted executive relationships, developing strategic accounts, creating thought leadership, delivering exceptional client outcomes and forming long-term partnerships. The Commercial Operations Executive sits at the centre of that engine, ensuring the right people have the right information, tools, materials and support at exactly the right time.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working day-to-day alongside the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, this is a high-impact, cross-functional role that enables the Consulting, Delivery and Commercial Growth functions to win new clients, grow existing accounts and strengthen strategic partnerships.

This is not a standalone marketing role. It is a commercial enablement role. You will coordinate proposals, maintain CRM discipline, support strategic account planning, deliver executive events, strengthen partnerships, coordinate thought leadership and manage external marketing suppliers to ensure every commercial interaction reflects the quality and professionalism of Ignite.

Success in this role is measured not by the amount of marketing activity created, but by how effectively you enable others to succeed. Every proposal produced, every executive event delivered, every strategic account supported and every partnership strengthened should help Ignite spend more time creating value for clients and less time wrestling with commercial administration.

As Ignite grows from approximately £1.2m to £8.5m over the next three years, this role will grow with it, providing opportunities to take on broader responsibility across commercial operations, partnerships and growth enablement.

Core Responsibilities

Commercial Enablement

Own the coordination of all commercial documentation and sales support activities that help Ignite pursue and win new business.

  • Lead the production and coordination of proposals, statements of work, and capability decks, ensuring they are compelling, accurate and on-brand.
  • Maintain and curate the library of sales collateral, case studies and credentials, keeping materials current and aligned to Ignite’s evolving proposition.
  • Own CRM hygiene and adoption: ensure HubSpot is consistently populated, deal stages are accurate, and pipeline reporting reflects reality.
  • Coordinate opportunity administration including stage progression, follow-up tracking and pipeline governance.
  • Produce regular pipeline and commercial reporting to support management visibility and decision-making.
  • Manage the flow of information across commercial activities so that the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer and leadership team are always prepared and informed.

Use AI tools to improve the speed, quality and consistency of proposal production, CRM management, research, communications and commercial operations, continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Strategic Account Support

Support the management and development of Ignite’s strategic accounts and key relationships by ensuring the business is consistently prepared, informed and engaged.

  • Prepare executive briefing packs, client research summaries and stakeholder maps ahead of senior client meetings.
  • Coordinate account planning activities including client reviews, relationship health tracking and expansion opportunity identification.

Own the operational coordination of Ignite AI Club, ensuring it delivers a first-class experience for members, strengthens executive relationships and supports strategic account growth.

  • Draft and coordinate executive communications including follow-up correspondence, relationship touchpoints and client updates.
  • Support the coordination of structured post-project reviews and value realisation reporting for strategic accounts.
  • Track account intelligence including contract renewals, key stakeholder changes and expansion opportunities.

Work closely with Consulting and Delivery to capture measurable client outcomes, testimonials and success stories that strengthen future proposals, thought leadership and account growth.

Events & Partnerships

Coordinate the design, logistics and delivery of Ignite’s events and partnership activities, which are central to the firm’s relationship-led growth model.

  • Own the logistics and coordination of AI Club events, executive roundtables and client-facing events from invitation to follow-up.
  • Support the planning and delivery of Ignite’s presence at external conferences, industry bodies and sector events.
  • Coordinate partner events and relationship-building activities across Ignite’s partner ecosystem including hyperscalers, referral partners and sector bodies such as UKAI and The Retail Innovation Council. You will ensure relationships are strong, well managed, and deliver mutual value.
  • Manage event databases, guest lists, venue logistics, catering and supplier coordination.
  • Administer partnership engagement activities including meeting scheduling, briefing preparation and communication tracking.

Thought Leadership & Brand

Coordinate and amplify the thought leadership that Ignite’s consultants and leadership team create, ensuring it reaches the right audiences consistently and professionally.

  • Manage the editorial calendar and coordinate the production and publication of articles, white papers, case studies and client success stories.
  • Coordinate LinkedIn activity including scheduling, publishing and tracking engagement for Ignite’s company page and key individuals.
  • Research and coordinate award submissions and PR opportunities aligned to Ignite’s strategic agenda.
  • Ensure all thought leadership content is on-brand, professionally presented and aligned to Ignite’s sector positioning and accelerator themes.
  • Coordinate the packaging of Ignite’s methodologies, frameworks, accelerators and client success stories into reusable commercial assets that support the firm’s productisation strategy and strengthen future sales conversations.

Consultants and leaders create the content. This role coordinates, QA’s and amplifies it.

Marketing Operations

Own the coordination of external marketing suppliers and ensure that Ignite’s marketing presence is consistent, professional and commercially focused.

  • Act as the primary point of contact and quality owner for external marketing suppliers covering website, SEO, graphic design, social media and digital campaigns.
  • Brief, manage and review the output of external suppliers, ensuring deliverables are on-brand, on-time and commercially relevant.
  • Own the Ignite website as a commercial and brand asset: coordinate content updates, ensure accuracy and maintain a professional, current presence.
  • Coordinate graphic design requirements across proposals, events, thought leadership and digital channels.
  • Ensure marketing activity genuinely supports commercial outcomes rather than creating activity for its own sake.

These activities are primarily delivered through external suppliers. This role is accountable for quality, consistency and delivery – not for undertaking the work directly.

Experience

This role is suited to an experienced coordinator or commercial executive, ideally with a background in professional services, consulting or a similarly fast-paced B2B environment. The right candidate will have a track record of making things happen across multiple workstreams without losing attention to detail or quality. Experience across enterprise retail would be a distinct advantage.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial coordination, business development support, or marketing operations role within professional services, consulting, technology or a similar B2B environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing CRM platforms – HubSpot strongly preferred – with an understanding of pipeline management and commercial reporting.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality proposals, presentations and client-facing documents under time pressure.
  • Experience coordinating events -from intimate executive roundtables to larger client or partner events.
  • Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders including senior leaders, consultants, delivery teams and external suppliers.
  • Experience managing external agencies or suppliers and holding them to account for quality and delivery.

Commercial Awareness

You understand how professional services firms win and grow clients. You can read a pipeline report and understand what it means. You are aware of account health, proposal timelines and the difference between activity and commercial progress. You care about the outcome, not just the task.

Organisation & Coordination

You manage multiple concurrent workstreams without dropping the ball. You set up systems, maintain them, and flag proactively when something is at risk. You are the person others rely on to keep the machine running.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

You communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders – from consultants preparing proposals to CEOs receiving executive briefings. You write well, present professionally, and adapt your tone to the audience.

Attention to Detail

You notice things others miss. Documents leave your hands error-free, CRM data is clean, and event logistics are confirmed. You understand that in a professional services environment, quality of output reflects directly on the firm.

AI Enabled

You will be expected to use AI extensively in your own work, working cross functionally to continually experiment with new tools and approaches to improve quality, speed and productivity. This role should become an internal showcase for AI-enabled commercial operations

What We Are Not Looking For

We are not looking for a traditional digital marketing manager. Technical expertise in SEO, social advertising, or campaign management is not the priority for this role. Where those skills are needed, they are delivered through external suppliers. The priority for this role is commercial orientation, professional credibility, organisational effectiveness, and the ability to make things happen across a complex and fast-moving business.
