About Ready Health

Ready Health is a growing CQC-registered private healthcare clinic based in Standish, Wigan, providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services across general practice, diagnostics, specialist services, mental health, women’s health and corporate healthcare.

Due to increasing patient demand, we are seeking an experienced Consultant Neurologist to join our expanding specialist team and support the continued growth of our neurology service.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, patient-focused private clinic with strong administrative support, established referral pathways, and access to diagnostic services.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide private neurology consultations for adults presenting with a wide range of neurological symptoms and conditions.

Typical appointments may include:

• New patient neurology assessments
• Follow-up neurology reviews
• Headache and migraine management
• Tremor assessments
• Peripheral neuropathy investigations
• Dizziness and balance disorders
• Memory and cognitive concerns
• Functional neurological symptoms
• Multiple sclerosis monitoring and advice
• Parkinson’s disease reviews
• Epilepsy reviews and management
• Diagnostic interpretation and treatment planning
• Specialist reports and GP correspondence

Appointments can be delivered:

• In-clinic
• Via secure video consultation
• Hybrid working arrangements available

Essential Criteria

• GMC registered medical practitioner
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Neurology
• Current licence to practise
• Consultant-level experience in Neurology
• Ability to assess and manage patients independently
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Professional indemnity cover
• Strong commitment to patient-centred care

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within private healthcare
• Sub-specialist interests welcomed
• Experience managing complex neurological conditions
• Experience providing medico-legal or specialist reports
• Interest in developing specialist neurology services
• Ability to support educational events or patient awareness initiatives
