About the Role

DataVita has a small, highly skilled team delivering large-scale infrastructure solutions for both public and private sector clients, supported through our state-of-the-art Tier III data centre facilities. We are now looking to expand our team further with the addition of a 1st Line Support Analyst.

 

This role is ideal for a technically capable individual who thrives in a fast-paced managed service environment. You’ll support enterprise customers across a range of managed services including IaaS, BaaS, DRaaS and Network.

 

We are looking for someone proactive, organised and willing to take ownership of incidents and tasks assigned to their department. You will be expected to triage tickets and follow up on the progress through to resolution.

 

You will receive support through internal training, development plans and relevant certifications. We will help you build the skills you need to succeed, while encouraging you to take an active role in your own learning and professional development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordination and ownership of support tickets
  • Liaising with 3rd party vendors and taking part in troubleshooting conference calls to perform root cause analysis on critical system issues
  • Provision of first and second-line technical support to internal and external customers, maintaining service levels
  • Performing daily health checks of cores service platforms
  • Performing regular maintenance and patching of core service platforms
  • Creating and maintaining technical knowledgebase documentation 

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Solid troubleshooting skills across Windows and Linux OS, virtualisation, storage, backups and networking
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively across technical teams
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Full UK driving license

  • Ticket Management to an ITIL Standard – ServiceNow
