Job Overview

Goymour Properties Ltd is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to lead our finance function. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee financial operations, manage a small team, and provide strategic insight to support business growth.

This is a senior leadership role suited to a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

You will work between our offices at Lenwade and Banham.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Prepare and present board packs with financial analysis and KPIs
  • Manage year-end accounts and external audit process
  • Produce consolidated accounts across multiple entities

Financial Controls & Compliance

  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
  • Oversee VAT returns, PAYE, and payroll compliance
  • Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations
  • Act as main contact for auditors

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and planning process
  • Maintain cash flow forecasts and financial models
  • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions

Cash Flow & Treasury

  • Manage cash position and banking relationships
  • Oversee debtor collections and supplier payments

Strategic Finance

  • Partner with Directors to support commercial decision-making
  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
  • Contribute to long-term financial strategy

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop the finance team
  • Drive performance and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
  • 5–10 years’ experience in a senior finance role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS / GAAP and ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
