About the Role

Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in maintaining high standards? We’re looking for a dedicated Cleaning Operative to help keep our airport facilities and tenant areas clean, safe, and welcoming. Reporting to the Cleaning Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all areas are maintained to an exceptional standard. From daily cleaning routines to supporting a safe and secure environment, your work will directly contribute to a positive experience for passengers, staff, and visitors.

Glasgow Prestwick Airport directly employs around 500 people and supports over 4,000 jobs across Scotland’s aerospace cluster. Located at the heart of Scotland’s aviation and aerospace industry, we deliver a wide range of in-house aviation services, providing vital connections to the rest of the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Following daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning schedules across airport facilities
• Ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned efficiently and to the highest standards
• Responding promptly to any issues or complaints and reporting them appropriately
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
• Managing stock deliveries and ensuring proper storage
• Completing cleaning logs and reporting faults or maintenance issues
• Disposing of waste responsibly
• Delivering friendly and professional customer service at all times

Safety & Compliance

• Working in line with health, safety, and security procedures
• Promoting a safe working environment and minimising risks
• Supporting investigations where required and handling data responsibly
