  • The Opportunity
  • We are seeking an Investment Associate to join our London team, supporting the deployment of the Future London Fund. This new £40m fund will provide £1m – £3m venture debt to high growth, innovative London-based SMEs that fall outside of traditional bank lending.
  • We are looking for a graduate with a relevant degree in accounting/finance/business shows a keen interest in working with Small & Medium sized enterprises on their growth journey
  • Reporting to the Head of London Fund, this role offers exposure across the full investment lifecycle within this new Venture Debt fund.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • • Identify businesses aligned to lending criteria, with a focus on growth and scale-up opportunities
  • • Analyse financial accounts, management information and financial models
  • • Support preparation of credit papers and attend credit committee discussions
  • • Manage post-approval processes, including legal documentation and Conditions Precedent
  • • Monitor portfolio performance, identifying early warning indicators
  • • Prepare credit proposals for amendments or additional lending
  • • Contribute to fund reporting and stakeholder reporting requirements
  • • Support development of marketing materials
  • • Maintain accurate records within internal systems (Civi CRM)

  • • Financial analysis capability and ability to interpret financial information
  • • Interest in high growth SME lending
  • • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • • Good communication skills
  • • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • • Interest in leveraging AI and technology to improve efficiency

  • Salary range: £35,000 – £42,000. Higher end will be considered for candidates with a proven placement year in relevant industry.
