The Role

As an addition to the training team you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering engaging, person-centred training across our services. From induction to refresher sessions, you’ll ensure our teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide outstanding care.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development Trainer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes that enhance employee skills and organisational growth. Responsibilities

  • Supporting each of the homes ensuring alignment with internal quality standards and the requirements of the organisation
  • Oversee the implementation and evaluation of training needs analyses, using findings to design L&D programmes that meet internal and external priorities.
  • Designing and implementing innovative development pathways that deliver measurable impact and support staff in achieving organisational priorities.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and the continuous review of a comprehensive learning and development programme.
  • Develop role-specific learning pathways tailored to the needs of diverse staff teams.
  • Design and rolling out a comprehensive leadership training program to improve team management, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Leading the ongoing improvement of training programmes, ensuring their relevance, impact, and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Develop processes to evaluate training impact, including return on investment (ROI) and return on expectation (ROE).
  • Facilitating a variety of learning methods including face-to-face, group sessions, blended learning, and digital training formats.
  • Develop engaging training programmes tailored to organisational needs, utilising tools such as Adobe Captivate and SharePoint.
  • Deliver training sessions across multiple formats, including virtual and in-person workshops, ensuring clarity and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and management teams to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions.

Experience

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering corporate training programmes using platforms like Adobe Captivate and SharePoint.
  • Strong background in teaching or facilitation within a corporate or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for tracking learning activities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching employees at various levels within an organisation.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, including talent development, onboarding, and performance management systems like HRIS tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
