All-year-round employment | Fantastic employee benefits

What will you be doing?

As a Receptionist, you’ll be an important part of our front-of-house team and will often be the first and last point of contact for our guests. Your friendly approach and excellent customer service will help create a great experience from the moment our guests arrive until they leave.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming guests and providing a friendly, professional and efficient front-of-house service.
  • Meeting, greeting and responding to the needs of guests to ensure they receive excellent customer service.
  • Building a positive rapport with guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Responding to guest requests and helping to ensure they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
  • Dealing with guest queries, complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
  • Undertaking general office duties, including monitoring and responding to emails, filing and maintaining accurate records.
  • Answering telephone calls and operating the hotel switchboard as required.
  • Communicating effectively with other hotel departments to help ensure guest needs are met.
  • Supporting other areas of the hotel when required.
  • Following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and professional working environment.

What are we looking for?

Previous reception or hotel experience is helpful but isn’t essential. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, confident and passionate about providing excellent customer service.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Friendly, approachable and welcoming.
  • Confident communicating with guests both face-to-face and over the telephone.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • Professional and calm when dealing with guest queries or complaints.
  • Organised and able to manage a variety of tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive and willing to support colleagues across the hotel.
  • Confident using computers and carrying out general administrative tasks.
  • Reliable, hardworking and committed to doing a great job.

Why join Daish’s?

At Daish’s, we believe that our people are just as important as our guests. That’s why we offer more than just a job.

When you join us, you’ll benefit from:

  • Stable, all-year-round employment – we don’t close for the winter.
  • Career progression opportunities across our hotels and wider business.
  • £100 refer-a-friend bonus, shared between you and your friend.
  • An extra paid day off for your birthday.
  • Access to mental wellbeing and financial support to help you when you need it.
  • A friendly, inclusive and supportive working environment.
  • Staff, Friends & Family Holiday Discount – enjoy a Daish’s holiday from just £105 for you, your family and friends, including accommodation, breakfast, dinner, coach travel and entertainment.

The role includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is important.
