Kitchen Porter

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in Weymouth. This position offers approximately 18–20 hours per week and will be essential for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring that our culinary team can operate efficiently. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our hospitality and catering services, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the cleaning and sanitisation of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
• Support chefs with food preparation tasks as required
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of food hygiene is beneficial
• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is an advantage but not essential
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
