Housekeeping Supervisor

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in Torquay, South West. This permanent, full-time role is essential for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organisation within our hospitality establishment. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring that all areas are impeccably presented and that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
• Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Train and mentor new housekeeping staff on procedures and best practices.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing workloads effectively.
• Handle guest requests and complaints in a professional manner.
• Maintain health and safety standards within the housekeeping department.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a housekeeping role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
