Housekeeping Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team in Torquay. This permanent, full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their stay.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required, ensuring all items are in good condition.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist in the laundry process, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
• Follow health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of cleaning procedures is beneficial.
• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a friendly disposition.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
