Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Engineer to join our team in Maidstone on a contract basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our data centre facilities within the public sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance to meet the needs of our government clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Perform regular system checks and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity.
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades and migrations.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices within the data centre environment.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant technical qualification in IT or a related field.
