Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Temp Sous Chef to join our independent hotel in Tenby, Wales. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a vibrant hospitality environment. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Culinary qualification or relevant training is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Excellent cooking skills and creativity in menu development
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work casual hours, including evenings and weekends
