About the Role

An excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef or experienced Senior Chef de Partie to join a busy, fresh food pub kitchen. This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced service, takes pride in consistency and presentation, and is looking to progress within a professional kitchen environment.

You will play a key role in supporting the Head Chef, leading the team during service, and maintaining high standards across all areas of the kitchen. The venue is a traditional Gastro pub environment with the addition of popular BBQ platters which prove to be a popular choice !

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service
  • Prepare, cook, and present fresh food dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Lead kitchen service in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and food safety standards
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and deliveries
  • Ensure smooth kitchen organisation and prep for service
  • Work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef de Partie, or experienced Chef
  • Background in a fresh food pub or restaurant kitchen preferred
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and EHO standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Leadership skills with the confidence to run a service
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Passion for food, quality ingredients, and presentation
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork
