About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen operation at a unique hospitality and leisure destination in Tamworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and driven Head Chef to take ownership of the food offering, develop seasonal menus, and lead a high-performing kitchen team. The successful candidate will combine creativity with strong operational management to deliver exceptional food quality and a consistently outstanding guest experience.

This is a hands-on role where you will lead from the front, maintaining high standards while ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during both busy and quieter service periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team
  • Create and deliver seasonal menus that showcase quality and innovation
  • Maintain consistently high food standards across all services
  • Manage stock control, food costs and labour budgets effectively
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene and compliance standards are met
  • Maintain an organised, efficient and well-managed kitchen operation

About You

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership position
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Sound understanding of stock control, food costs and labour management
  • Positive leadership style with a team-focused approach
  • Passionate about producing high-quality food and delivering excellent standards
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance requirements
