Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to support the leadership of a busy kitchen team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef looking to develop their career within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The successful Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations, maintain high food standards, and inspire the team through strong leadership and organisation. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and service
  • Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
  • Assist with menu planning and seasonal dish development
  • Ensure all food preparation meets quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
  • Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
  • Respond professionally to customer feedback where required
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods with cooking and plating

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Good understanding of stock control and food production processes
  • Passion for fresh food and high-quality presentation
  • Ability to motivate and develop junior team members
