Fire Stopper

The Role

We are currently looking for a skilled and time served Fire Stopper to join our team on one our new schemes in Newcastle. You will be working on a range of projects, primarily within education, carrying out essential passive fire protection works to ensure buildings meet safety and compliance standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installation of fire stopping systems including batt & mastic, fire collars, wraps, and sealants
• Fire door installation, maintenance, and remedial works
• Carry out compartmentation works in line with fire safety regulations
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Complete works to a high standard in line with FIRAS/BM TRADA guidelines
• Accurately complete job sheets and compliance documentation
• Work safely and respectfully in occupied properties

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience as a Fire Stopper
• Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Passive Fire Protection (Fire Stopping)
• Good knowledge of passive fire protection systems and standards
• Valid CSCS skilled worker
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• UK driving licence
