The Role:
The Trainee Social Value Officer will support the delivery of social value commitments across projects and contracts, helping to create positive outcomes for local communities.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, the successful candidate will assist in developing community engagement initiatives, monitoring social value activities, collecting evidence of impact, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including schools/colleges, charities, local authorities, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering social value commitments across projects, ensuring targets are met and recorded.
- Help develop social value delivery plans, reports, case studies and client updates.
- Support the coordination of community engagement activities, events and partnerships.
- Input and maintain social value data on internal and external platforms.
- Draft content for newsletters, webpages and social value communications.
- Work with residents, community groups and local partners to support social value initiatives
- Assist with stakeholder mapping and local research to identify opportunities
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills
- Passion for community engagement and social impact
- Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks
- Confident using digital tools and data platforms
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn database systems.
- Driving licence would be advantageous due to social value delivery requirements
