Role Overview:
The Tipper Driver Labourer will be responsible for operating a tipper truck to transport materials, waste, or debris from housing sites, particularly in relation to void properties (vacant properties undergoing repair, refurbishment, or clearing). This role also involves assisting with various manual labour tasks to ensure the timely and effective preparation of properties for re-letting in the social housing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tipper truck to transport waste, construction debris, and building material
- Ensure the vehicle is loaded and unloaded correctly and that loads are secured safely before transportation
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, including maintenance and reporting faults to the fleet manager
- Performing setup and clean-up tasks on site
- Collection of Materials from Builders merchants
- Assist in the clearing and cleaning of vacant properties as part of the void property preparation process
- Maintain a safe environment for site staff and residents
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient operation of the site and timely completion of tasks
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external Clients and customers.
You Will Need:

- Previous experience as a tipper driver or in a construction-related labouring role is preferred
- Construction or social housing background preferred
- Good organisational skill
- Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure
- Full clean driving licence required
