The social Value apprentice will support the social value manager to:

 

  • Assist in organising and delivering community engagement activities, volunteering events and fundraising initiatives across the contract.
  • Help coordinate education, employability and skills programmes with schools, colleges and community groups.
  • Support project teams in identifying opportunities to deliver social value commitments.
  • Gather and record social value evidence and performance data on company systems.

Support the preparation of reports, case studies, and client updates.

  • Schedule meetings and support event logistics.
  • Assist with procurement and supplier engagement activities relating to social value delivery.
  • Build positive relationships with internal teams, clients, local authorities, charities, and community organisations.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and take notes where required.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries relating to social value
  • Occasional weekend and evening work due to the nature of the events we attend in the community.

Essential

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting communities and creating positive social impact.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn and work towards an apprenticeship qualification.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
