We are currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Administrator to join our team our procurement team in Crawley.
Role Overview:
To provide advanced administrative and operational support to the procurement function within a social housing organisation, ensuring efficient purchasing processes, regulatory compliance, and effective contract administration that delivers value for money and high-quality services for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day procurement administration activities across multiple contracts and projects.
- Ensuring full operational needs are met to the highest standards and compliance levels.
- First point of contact for all day-day Procurement issues and enquiries
- Manage the reverse purchasing & van stock functions
- Conducting regular visits across Cardo South contract offices
- Manage and control of Cardo South purchase cards
- Support end-to-end procurement processes, including preparing tender documentation, issuing requests for quotations (RFQs), and managing supplier communications.
- Maintain and manage procurement systems, ensuring accurate records of orders, contracts, and supplier data.
- Monitor contract timelines, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding procurement queries.
- Support Buyers and Procurement Managers with sourcing activities, evaluations, and contract awards.
- Analyse spend data and produce reports to support procurement decision-making and cost control.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and UK public procurement regulations.
- Assist in supplier onboarding, due diligence, and performance tracking.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
- Support delivery of social value, sustainability, and ESG objectives within procurement activities.
You Will Need:
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing administration, ideally within social housing, construction, or the public sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract administration.
- Familiarity with UK procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good analytical skills, with experience in reporting and data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
