We are currently looking for a Multi Skilled Plasterer to join our team in Pembroke.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Plasterer to deliver high-quality responsive repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works across social housing properties. Plastering will be your primary trade; however, you will also carry out a range of associated maintenance tasks to ensure homes are safe, well-maintained, and presented to a high standard.
Working within occupied and void properties, you will be responsible for completing repairs efficiently, maintaining excellent workmanship, and providing outstanding customer service to tenants while ensuring all work complies with current health and safety regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of plastering, including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, float and set, bonding, and ceiling repairs.
- Prepare walls, ceilings, and other surfaces for plastering, including cleaning, sanding, priming, and installing bonding agents or backing materials where required.
- Mix and apply plastering materials to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Complete plaster repairs following maintenance works such as plumbing, electrical, or carpentry repairs.
- Carry out a range of multi-skilled repairs, including basic carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating, mastic sealing, and minor brickwork or patch repairs where required.
- Undertake minor maintenance works to kitchens, bathrooms, doors, skirting boards, locks, fixtures, and fittings.
- Ensure all completed work meets quality standards, building regulations, and client specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment, minimising disruption to tenants at all times.
- Diagnose repair issues and determine the most effective repair solution.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, colleagues, supervisors, and property managers, providing updates on progress where necessary.
- Complete work within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Accurately complete job records, risk assessments, and required paperwork using company systems.
- Adhere to all company policies and health and safety procedures.
You will need:
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Plasterer or Plasterer within a repairs and maintenance environment.
- Experience working within social housing, local authority, or residential maintenance contracts.
- Excellent plastering skills, including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, float and set, and finishing.
- Competency in a range of secondary trades, such as basic carpentry, tiling, decorating, mastic application, and general property maintenance.
- Ability to identify defects and carry out repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Good understanding of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void property refurbishment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering first-time quality.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to work respectfully in occupied homes.
- Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred/essential depending on the role).
