We are currently seeking a skilled Groundworker to join our team in Cardiff.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team in Cardiff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to site preparation, landscaping, and general labour. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of construction and maintenance projects.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Remove and relay or lay new, flag work as necessary.
  • Lay brick walls accurately following plans and specifications.
  • Identify and rectify defects in groundwork as required.
  • Prepare and lay new concrete paths and ramps.
  • Prepare and lay concrete footings for brickwork.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and light machinery safely and effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred; certification in equipment operation is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Dig trenches, holes, and ditches as required for utilities and landscaping. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Ground working essential on site and domestic premises.
  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Groundwork and General Construction desirable.
  • Clean current driving licence essential.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
