We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Labourer to join the team covering Launceston and surrounding areas.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will support qualified electricians with a range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across residential properties. You will assist in ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and keen to develop their skills while working as part of a professional property maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified electricians with electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades within social housing properties.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of lighting, sockets, distribution boards, and fire alarms.
  • Prepare materials, tools, and work areas to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
  • Carry out basic tasks under supervision, including chasing walls, cable pulling, and site preparation.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
  • Work closely with electricians and other trades as part of a wider property maintenance team.
  • Ensure a professional and respectful approach when working in tenants’ homes.
  • Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organised.

You Will Need:

  • Previous experience working as an Electrician’s Labourer, Electrical Mate, or in a similar construction or maintenance role.
  • A basic understanding of electrical installations and safe working practices.
  • ECS Card or equivalent – desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to manage workload and work safely in occupied and vacant properties.
