Role Overview:
We are currently looking for a Group indirect buyer to join our team. You will be responsible for managing the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of indirect goods and services, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and supplier performance while supporting internal stakeholders across the organization.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories (e.g., IT, HR services, marketing, facilities).
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand needs and align procurement plans.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Analyse spend data to identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency.
- Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
- Support risk management by assessing supplier reliability and market
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- 2–5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience (indirect spend preferred)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are often desirable
- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Analytical thinking and spend analysis capability
- Stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and cost optimization mindset
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba)
- Time management and ability to handle multiple categories
