We are currently looking for a Bathroom Fitter to join our team in Pembroke.
Role Overview:
Responsible for the installation, renovation, and maintenance of bathroom fixtures and fittings. This role typically involves a combination of plumbing, tiling, carpentry, and other skills to ensure the successful completion of bathroom projects.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and plan the layout of the bathroom to ensure proper fitting of all fixtures.
- Install bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, vanities, and other bathroom equipment.
- Ensure all plumbing connections (water and drainage) are correctly installed and leak-free.
- Install new flooring, wall panels, or tiles according to design specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to plumbing, electrical, and structural elements to accommodate new fixtures.
- Install or modify plumbing systems (e.g., pipes, faucets, and showers) to ensure proper water flow and drainage.
- Install and connect electrical wiring for lighting, ventilation, and heated towel rails.
- Test all plumbing and electrical systems to ensure they function properly.
- Lay floor and wall tiles with precision, ensuring an even and professional finish.
- Apply grout, sealants, and adhesives as needed to complete tiling and other finishes.
- Inspect and test all fittings and installations for leaks, functionality, and durability.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and building regulations during installation and renovation projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences for their bathroom project.
You Will Need:
- Proficient in plumbing, tiling, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
- High standards of craftsmanship to ensure accurate and professional installations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve any installation or renovation issues that arise.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Clear communication with clients and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in bathroom fitting, construction, or related fields.
- Relevant plumbing, electrical, or construction qualifications may be required, such as a NVQ in Plumbing or Carpentry.
