We are seeking a motivated Apprentice – Information Communications Technician (ICT) to join our dynamic IT team at our head office in Rothley (LE7 7NL). This temporary full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates to gain hands-on experience in the ICT field, contributing to the maintenance and support of our communication systems. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, while developing essential skills for a successful career.

The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will work towards an Information Communications Technician Level 3 qualification through a mixture of blended learning in the workplace and taught delivery every Friday at Loughborough College, with regular visits from a dedicated trainer/assessor.
Loughborough College Induction: The last Wednesday of the month that you are enrolled, from 9:30am to 3:00pm (Confirmation of date provided upon enrolment)
Apprenticeship Start Date: Monday 6 July 2026
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Duration: 2 years (with the potential of a long term post for the right candidate, after the successful completion of the apprenticeship)
The main duties:
This role will include hardware and software installation, support, and administration of:
- 1st line desktop/laptop on-site, remote, and telephone (hardware/software)
- Networking (WAN, LAN, switches, routers, access points and related devices)
- Telecoms (PBX, SIP, internet services and telephone lines)
- Servers (virtual and physical)
- Mobile phones and mobile device management (MDM)
- Printers/MFP
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of GCSEs in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications (grade 4/C or above).
- Basic understanding of ICT systems and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
