The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Trade & Merchandising Manager to lead our digital trading strategy and optimize the customer shopping experience across all markets.
This role sits at the intersection of product, customer and commercial performance. You will own the ecommerce trading calendar, onsite merchandising strategy and revenue optimisation initiatives, ensuring the right products are presented to the right customers at the right time.
Combining strong commercial acumen with customer-first thinking, you will drive sales, conversion, average order value and customer engagement through effective trading decisions and merchandising execution.
Crucially, you are a strategic leader who can balance short-term trading opportunities with long-term growth initiatives, while building scalable processes and developing a high-performing team.
You will
- Own and execute BABYBOO’s global ecommerce trading strategy to maximise revenue, conversion and profitability across all markets.
- Develop and manage the ecommerce trading calendar, aligning product launches, campaigns and promotional activity with commercial objectives.
- Lead the onsite merchandising strategy, optimising navigation, product discovery, search, collections and customer journeys.
- Analyse trading performance, customer behaviour and product trends to identify growth opportunities and drive data-led decisions.
- Partner with Planning and Product teams to optimise inventory productivity, maximise full-price sell-through and support forecasting.
- Lead the execution of promotional campaigns and key trading events, ensuring flawless delivery across all digital channels.
- Build reporting frameworks and champion a test-and-learn approach to continually improve ecommerce performance.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Trade & Merchandising team while collaborating cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Marketing, CRM, Creative, Product and Planning teams.
You are
- Extensive experience in Ecommerce Trading, Digital Merchandising or Online Retail Management, ideally within fashion or a high-growth ecommerce business.
- Proven success driving online revenue growth through trading strategy, onsite merchandising and commercial optimisation.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, average order value (AOV), traffic and customer engagement.
- Experience using ecommerce platforms, merchandising tools and analytics platforms to inform commercial decisions.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data and customer insights into actionable trading strategies.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience balancing customer experience, profitability and inventory performance.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and project management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
