Description

We are hiring a Project Controller / Coordinator based in Abilene, Texas to support project financial control, monitoring, and day to day coordination across active projects. This role keeps quotes, purchase orders, timesheets, and change orders organized and on track, working closely with project managers, the field team, and finance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

Financial Control & Monitoring

  • Support project financial control and monitoring across active projects.
  • Track project costs, budgets, and actuals, flagging discrepancies as needed.
  • Monitor quotes, purchase orders, invoices, and change orders for accuracy.

ERP & Systems

  • Open projects, create purchase orders, and create invoices within the company ERP system (NetSuite preferred).
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records within the ERP system and supporting spreadsheets.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Keep track of quotes, purchase orders, timesheets, and change orders across projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Support day to day project administration tasks.

Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate proactively with project managers, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare summaries and reports for leadership as needed.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external stakeholder requests.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Familiarity with project financial control and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, with the ability to open projects, create purchase orders, and create invoices.
  • Strong organizational skills to track quotes, purchase orders, timesheets, and change orders.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and other business tools.
  • Willingness to work in the Abilene, TX office 4 days per week.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in wind or renewables.
  • Experience in construction or another project based service business.
