Description

Role Summary

The Management Accountant role is instrumental for delivering month/quarter/year-end cycles, including the preparation of deliverables to the board.

This involves a high standard of reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

 

Preparation of month-end management accounts in collaboration with the Finance team ensuring accuracy and timeliness, includes processing journals, balance sheet recons and preparing deliverables to present to the board

Delivering high-quality financial outputs in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Collaborate with the Finance team and portfolio managers to ensure costs are captured in the relevant period and against the relevant project to ensure constructive project profitability analysis

Assist in system improvements, process documentation and reporting automation

Assist with financial audit requests providing any documentation or supporting information as required

Drive efficiencies and innovation within Finance Team

Other ad-hoc responsibilities

 

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Essential:

Part or fully qualified (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

Strong attention to detail

Experience managing financial transactions and ensure that financial processes are carried out in accordance with group policies

Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Ability to present findings to finance and non-finance personnel

Strong organisational and teamworking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Desirable:

Experience with NetSuite (preferable) or comparable ERP system

Advanced Excel skills

Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting gained in professional practice or industry
