ROLE OVERVIEW
August is looking for a commercially minded relationship builder to own one of the most important parts of our homeowner lifecycle: keeping great people in the community, helping those who need to exit do so smoothly, and turning our happiest homeowners into our biggest advocates.
This is a hands-on, “doer” role sitting within the Homeowner Experience (HX) team, with a strong commercial focus. You’ll work directly with HNW homeowners across Europe and North America, managing sensitive conversations around resale, identifying retention opportunities, and building a structured referral and ambassador programme that fuels long-term growth.
You’ll be as comfortable making proactive outreach calls and managing CRM data as you are networking at events, handling negotiations, and nurturing long-term relationships with influential clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Retention First
- Act as the first point of contact when an owner signals intent to resell, leading retention conversations with empathy and commercial awareness
- Identify and propose alternatives to exit where appropriate (collection transfers, upgrades, usage solutions, etc.)
- Track and report on retention outcomes, supporting the company goal of keeping overall resale rates below target thresholds
Resales (Private Sales)
- Own the end-to-end resale journey for owners looking to exit, acting as their primary relationship point throughout the process
- Proactively manage resale listings to ensure time-to-sale targets (under 60 days where possible)
- Work closely with Sales Advisors to match resale opportunities with suitable prospects and keep momentum through to completion
Referrals & Ambassador Programme
- Work with the Marketing team to drive forward the Referrals Program, activating Ambassador incentives across our key markets (UK, US, Canada, Belgium and the Netherlands)
- Identify, tier, and nurture high-potential ambassador homeowners using agreed criteria (engagement, referrals, usage, network quality, etc.)
- Build personal relationships with key ambassadors, ensuring they feel valued, informed and connected to the brand
- Coordinate ambassador experiences, events, gifting and behind-the-scenes access in partnership with Marketing and HX
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, HX and Ops teams to ensure consistent messaging and a premium, seamless homeowner experience
- Support the creation and refinement of resale and referral collateral in line with August brand positioning
ABOUT YOU
You are relationship-driven, commercially aware, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You’re equally comfortable making a proactive call, managing a detailed CRM pipeline, or hosting a conversation with a high-net-worth homeowner about a sensitive resale decision.
You understand that luxury is about service, trust and discretion, and you naturally represent a premium brand in how you communicate and present yourself.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS

3–6 years’ professional experience in a client-facing, commercial or relationship management role (e.g. sales, account management, partnerships, property, private client services)
- Proven experience working with high-value clients or in a premium/luxury environment
- Demonstrated track record in roles requiring proactive outreach, pipeline management, and follow-up discipline
- Strong commercial instinct and confidence handling conversations involving pricing, negotiation or retention
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail
- Highly organised and self-directed, able to manage multiple conversations and stakeholders at once
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with resales, property transactions, or secondary market sales
- Previous use of HubSpot or a similar CRM at a detailed reporting level
- Experience building or managing referral or ambassador programmes
- Additional European languages (French, Dutch, German, Spanish or Italian)
- Experience hosting or supporting client events
WORKING HOURS & PACKAGE
- Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, London office minimum 3 days a week, 2 remote
- Some evening availability may be required for events or international client calls
- Start date: Q2 2026
- Competitive base salary with a commission and performance-based bonus structure linked to resales, retention and referral outcomes
