JOB DETAILS

Job Title: Junior Property Manager — South of France Location: Based in or around the Cannes or Valbonne area, with a valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle. The role requires regular travel across our South of France homes, including Cannes, Tourrettes, and Mougins — for homeowner check-ins, contractor meetings, and routine property visits.

Reports to: Regional Operations Manager — France

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Willingness to work on Saturdays required.

Hybrid role: work from home + field work on some days.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Junior Property Manager exists to support and execute daily operations and strategic projects that maintain the August Excellence standard across our South of France collection. By taking guidance from the Regional Operations Manager, you will ensure that every home is meticulously maintained, safe, and ready to provide a world-class experience for our homeowners. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the rapidly growing co-ownership market in one of the world’s most prestigious luxury travel destinations. You will be at the forefront of delivering a seamless lifestyle focused on family and culture, ensuring August remains the premier platform for luxury holiday homes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance, Safety & Maintenance

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all properties strictly comply with local French health, safety, and fire safety regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Safety Certification: Assist the Senior Property Manager and Regional Operations Manager in obtaining and filing all mandatory local technical certifications (e.g. Gas and Electrical certificates) to ensure habitability and insurance validity.
  • PPM Execution: Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to minimize downtime with the help of third party contractors.
  • Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular home audits to identify and remediate structural or environmental hazards immediately.

Homeowner Experience & Operations

  • Stay Management: Serve as a primary contact for homeowners during their stays, fostering positive relationships and providing check-in services as and when required.
  • Cleanliness Standards: Oversee and guarantee high standards of cleanliness and property presentation for every arrival.
  • Key Management: Own and manage secure key access protocols for all properties within the region.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist in the setup, testing, and operational launch of new property acquisitions in the South of France.

Administration & Collaboration

  • Team Synergy: Collaborate closely with the Home Experience team to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Financial Administration: Support the quotation process for maintenance needs and assist in the submission of supplier invoices.
  • Stock & Inventory: Conduct rigorous stock control and verify home inventories to ensure standards are met.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Skills (Non-Negotiable)

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in property management or luxury hotels.
  • Languages: Strong command of written and spoken English and French.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to troubleshoot domestic systems and supervise/guide third party contractors.
  • Mobility: Must hold a valid driving license and a car. Must have the ability to travel between property locations. Mileage is reimbursed for all work-related travel between properties.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent communication skills, keen eye for detail, and the ability to independently plan projects with an ownership mindset.
  • Working hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Willing to work on Saturdays.
