2. Job Description
Job Title: Commercial Content Associate
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Reports to: Head of Marketing
Role Summary
This role sits at the heart of our commercial function. It keeps momentum across the sales cycle — making sure each sales team has the materials, information and support they need to close, and that everything behind the scenes moves in step.
It isn’t a role defined by technical complexity. It’s defined by ownership, judgement, and the ability to bring people together across Acquisition, Renovation, Design, Marketing and Sales to get things across the line. You’ll develop and maintain the full suite of sales enablement content — from collection brochures and walkthrough videos to homeowner stories and design features — and manage the content matrix that keeps our sales teams one step ahead of every launch.
August is an AI-first organisation. This role is expected to use AI tools actively — to produce content faster, manage the content matrix more efficiently, and build workflows that reduce manual effort over time. We’re not looking for someone who’s curious about AI one day. We want someone who’s already using it.
When this function runs smoothly, the whole commercial side of the business benefits — and that’s what we’re hiring for.
3. Core Responsibilities
Sales Enablement Content & Materials
- Develop and maintain all sales enablement materials — including collection and home brochures, magazine articles (homeowner stories, before and afters, design features, “in conversation” pieces), walkthrough videos, and sales sites.
- Equip each sales team with the right materials, information and support for every collection — tailored to the specific audience and market.
- Ensure all materials are visually cohesive, on-brand, and aligned with the August tone of voice and design language.
Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Understand sales objectives across each market and ensure the sales enablement plan is aligned with collection launch timelines and group close targets.
- Work closely with Sales leadership to identify priority collections, key milestones, and the content needed to support each stage of the sales cycle.
- Translate commercial priorities into a clear, actionable enablement roadmap.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate across departments — Design, Renovation, Acquisition, Marketing — to keep content moving, remove blockers, and expedite delivery.
- Hold stakeholders to timelines in a calm, constructive way, ensuring everyone is clear on what’s needed and when.
- Act as the single point of coordination for sales content requests, fielding inputs and driving them through to completion.
Content Matrix & Operations
- Maintain and manage the sales enablement content matrix — identifying gaps and opportunities based on design, renovation, and acquisition activity.
- Keep all sales assets organised, accessible and up-to-date across the business.
- Track the performance and usage of sales materials and continually refine the toolkit based on what’s working.
4. Skills & Experience
Essential (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven experience in a content, marketing, sales enablement, commercial operations or comparable cross-functional role — ideally in real estate, luxury, hospitality, or another considered-purchase environment. We expect 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Actively use AI tools in your day-to-day work — not occasionally, but as a default. You can point to specific examples of how AI has made your work faster or better.
- A genuine owner. You don’t wait to be asked, and you don’t drop the ball.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills — comfortable holding senior colleagues to account in a calm, constructive way.
- Organised and structured, at ease managing several moving parts at once across multiple markets.
- Commercially minded, with a sharp eye for where a process can be tightened or a handover improved.
- A clear, direct communicator — written and in person.
- Comfortable working with creative teams and a strong feel for design-led content.
5. AI & Ways of Working
All August team members are expected to progress up the August AI framework. For this role, that means arriving at AI Level 1 (regular, purposeful use of LLMs and AI tools in your daily work) and actively building toward Level 2 — having automated or significantly improved at least one workflow within your first six months.
In practice, this looks like:
- Using AI to draft and iterate on content at speed.
- Building a content tracking or gap-analysis workflow that doesn’t rely on manual spreadsheets.
- Bringing ideas to the team on how enablement tasks can be done better with AI support.
