Summary:

The Youth Facilitator will play a crucial role in empowering young individuals within the South East London community. This position involves designing and delivering engaging programmes that promote personal development, social skills, and community involvement. As part of a dedicated charity organisation, the Youth Facilitator will contribute to fostering a supportive environment that encourages youth participation and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement youth programmes that address the needs and interests of young people in the community.
  • Facilitate workshops and activities that promote personal development, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Build positive relationships with young participants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with local schools, community groups, and other stakeholders to enhance programme reach and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of programmes, making adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant engagement and programme effectiveness.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young people in a community or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire youth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of youth development principles and best practices.
  • A relevant qualification in youth work, education, or a related field is desirable.
