Job Summary 

Aberdeen Laundry Services (ALS Group) is seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. As a leading textile rental and laundry provider with four strategic sites across Scotland, we’re looking for someone who can elevate our brand presence while championing our sustainability initiatives. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to transport goods to various locations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate deliveries.
  • Report any vehicle defects or issues to management promptly.
  • Role Requires Weekend Work

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 2 ( Category C) HGV driving licence.
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ previous experience as an HGV delivery driver.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Legal right to work in United Kingdom
