Description

Summary:

Octane Draincare is looking for an experienced Reactive Van Pack Operator to join our growing team. You will be responsible for responding to emergency drainage call-outs, diagnosing drainage issues, clearing blockages, undertaking CCTV investigations where required and delivering excellent customer service to both domestic and commercial clients.

The Reactive Van Pack Operator at Draincare plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of drainage systems across Bradford and the surrounding areas. This permanent, full-time position is essential for delivering high-quality utility services, responding promptly to drainage issues, and contributing to the overall reliability of our infrastructure. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing excellent service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain the van pack equipment for effective drainage solutions.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and carry out reactive maintenance on drainage systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify drainage issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any further issues to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend reactive drainage call-outs.
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Diagnose and clear blocked drains, stacks, gullies and sewer systems.
  • Carry out CCTV surveys where required.
  • Locate drainage defects and provide recommendations for remedial works.
  • Complete electronic job reports, photographs and site documentation using company systems.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment to a high standard.
  • Represent Octane Draincare professionally at all times.
  • Participate in the emergency call-out rota.
  • Ensure excellent housekeeping on every site.
  • Develop skills through ongoing training.

Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Previous drainage industry experience.
  • Good understanding of drainage systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Ability to work away from home when required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the utilities or drainage industry.
  • Full UK driving licence, with a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to drainage operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • HPWJ Qualification.
