You will lead by example, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with both company procedures and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Working in line with company policies, procedures, and UK Health & Safety legislation (including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974), you will take responsibility for both operational delivery and on‑site supervision.

Supervision & Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate industrial operatives on-site
  • Act as the primary point of contact for site teams, contractors, and clients where required
  • Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standard
  • Support, coach and develop team members, including identifying training needs
  • Promote a strong “safety-first” culture — setting expectations and challenging unsafe behaviours
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring new starters

Operational & Technical Duties

Remain actively involved in delivery, including:

  • Confined space entry, preparation, and industrial cleaning
  • High pressure water jetting (up to 7000 psi, including UHP where qualified)
  • Application of coatings, tank linings, and laminates
  • Media blasting (on-site and at customer locations)
  • Concrete repairs and screed applications
  • Tank inspections and repair work
  • Working at height and in challenging environments
  • Manual handling and physical site work

Planning, Safety & Compliance

  • Lead the development, review, and implementation of RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
  • Ensure Dynamic Risk Assessments are completed and adhered to daily
  • Ensure compliance with all SHEQ standards, site rules, and legal requirements
  • Oversee safe removal and handling of hazardous materials
  • Carry out or support site briefings/toolbox talks
  • Escalate any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses appropriately
  • Support audits and continuous improvement of systems and processes

Operational Management

  • Coordinate daily site activities, labour, and equipment allocation
  • Ensure correct use, maintenance, and reporting of plant and equipment
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across all work areas
  • Assist with planning and mobilisation for projects, including working away
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in industrial services (jetting, coatings, or similar environments)
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of site safety practices and legislation
  • IT literate (confident using mobile apps and reporting systems)
  • Strong communicator with the ability to lead teams in demanding environments
  • Proactive mindset — takes ownership and solves problems on-site
  • Flexible and willing to work away from home for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

A strong safety mindset is essential — “If you see something, say something.”
